    Looks like they're having fun - Burnt's chain came off[1], & Sweller's
Armstrong's drinking a litre of oil every 250 miles. Any bets on how
far they'll get before giving up?

[1] Can't remember the last time I heard of that happening if you don't
    include Scrapheap Challenge.

Presumably caused by the sprocket getting iced up? I've seen that kind of
thing mountain biking in sub-freezing conditions, the slush gets into the
cassette and then just turns solid.

Nah, nowhere near cold enough yet. My guess is he's just running the
chain very loose due to the weight on the back of the bike, or the
chain was very tired & has had a major stretch after lugging all that
    weight around.

I guess that means you're not having fun then. Even so, I'm not sure
how what I said merited that.

We are out here riding in -15 or lower temps on ice covered roads in
freezing fog and at least trying to do something challenging. You. Are
sat sniping from your comfy little office with little idea of the
difficulties we are facing. I suppose it was too much to expect that
you might actually cut us a bit of slack and show some support.

    Go **** yourself.

Major SOH failure there, I think.

How you can infer "sniping" from Krusty's post I can't begin to
    imagine.

Easily done when freezing in the wastelands and things aren't going so
    well.

Still, I imagine the Bonwick et al are thoroughly ripping the piss out of
    him now.
