Definitely need knobblies and not ribs plus a few spikes, say around
100 per end ideally.

 

Oh dear.

Today has been challenging. Riding on smooth ice takes some getting
used to but is doable at reasonable speeds.

However riding on rutted ice is hard work at more than well 20 or 40
kmh.

Alex is a madman. Grinning like a loon and wants to ride in the dark
pre dawn.

We hope to reach the arctic circle tomorrow but in these conditions it
may be tough...
