I was surprised by Steve's comments that studs or chains were not standard
designer wear for trucks

 

You'd be surprised by a lot of things involved in riding over here.
The road conditions change very rapidly and all of a sudden you go
from half decent to fucking evil.

 

I might be appalled but probably not all that surprised. You mean the

Did you see any northern locals out on bikes?

Not a lot. The massive movement of plant, construction and manufacturing
machinery to the East of the Urals was underway.
