It probably can't seem very funny from where you are, but it's surely
right in the banterous, joshing and occasionally repugnant spirit of
ukrm. Callous commentaries on misfortunes, crashes, death and
near-death, such as SteveH's latest brush, are not meant seriously. I'm
sure that nobody here gets any pleasure from the prospect of your not
reaching your goal. I'm in awe of the whole enterprise. I lack the
technical skill, as well as the time and fortitude, to do it. I
fervently want you all to succeed, and I expect Krusty (and every single
one of 'us') feels the same. Good luck.

Building an extension to my house out of snot and matchsticks would be
    challenging, too.
I'd be deluding myself to think no-one would take the mickey, though.
We're sat in our comfy little offices precisely because we *do* have
    an
idea of the difficulties you are facing.

Yes - Molly's 'flowery' description of her Aprilia testride. Your
response to that caused much the same result as you have here -
    everyone else going "huh?".
If you think I'd get any enjoyment from that, you're about as wrong as
it's possible to be. I hope you all make it all the way, & have a
fantastic time doing so. You're reading some meaning into my post that
    really wasn't there.
    Yawn.

    In communiqué
I'm charting your course on Google Maps as you go using my UKRM Away
    Team Google Maps API thingy.

    http://www.text2kml.co.uk/sqlmap/mapukrmnew.php

This version won't allow points to be created. You can try but they'll
disappear again. May require zooming or centring to see all plotted
points. Click on a point to link to the twitpic. If I can figure it out
I will put links to the individual appropriate tweets. I can point the
'team' to a URL that will allow record insertion, but I suspect that
would be a pain on a phone.

Not to build up a big & hard enough lump of ice to force a motorbike
chain off. Can't see that ever happening tbh. Push bike chains, sure -
they're really weedy & designed to flex sideways easily (changing gear
would be a bugger if they weren't).

No. That was simply someone tired of reading bullshit and calling it.
I think you'll find if you read the whole thread, I stuck purely to
the facts and did not stray beyond the content of the post. In no way
    was that a 'rattle throw'.

Then perhaps you might, in future, refrain from postings indicating
that you think running a book on the length of time we go before
'giving up' is a good idea.
"Any bets on how far they'll get before giving up?"

    Seems pretty unambiguous to me.

    Another +1 on this thread .. ;)

Been reading, watching and enjoying the planning, build-up and pics of
the bikes and really hoping they do well and if nowt else thoroughly
enjoy it .. whatever falls off or breaks .. ;)

If that wasn't a nasty, personal & unprovoked attack I don't know what
    is.
Apparently not, as you've managed to completely misinterpret it.

If you could change your posting name to "Donkey", we'd be halfway
through a script for Shrek 5 by now.

This time next year, we'll be miwlyunnaires ...
