I was looking forwards to hear how they find the grip of the studded
tyres, but just noticed that this will become evident within a day or
two. Seems wise to have waited with fitting the studs as long as
possible.

As regards how long the Trelleborg Army tyres might last, here is a link
showing a picture of a rear one that was taken off after 12.000 km - and
then it was still found to be better than the replacement (Metzeler) . .
