Can you see the Northern Lights on street view? :)

I thought that when I looked at the map yesterday. Seemed (on a number of
thumbs scale) to be similar to Glasgow->Jerez.

    Alex has set a meme!
It's a long haul at 30per but 30 on ice is quite sufficient I expect!
I bet they are. How may KM more until you get to the final destination?

He's a pikey hillclimber. About 8 quid each way as far as he remembers.
He said a local suggested they go via the E17 and several ferries to
"see the Fjords", but I guess that's not the object of this exercise.

Point plotted on the map. Waiting for a more 'scenic' photo though.

Still in my normal gear. Had to start my wearing glove liners.

Inside of my visor icing up during the 'white out' was a bit trying.

+ another. All women run V1 of the SW 'cos it was perfect first time.

Hotel room is putting it a bit grandly. A hut on a campsite is more accurate. Toasty though.

Oh do **** off. "I did it deliberately" is such crap.

Given I'm in the same room as the person who is purported to have the flounce: "what the **** do you know".

I've camped in temperatures of -25°C before. It's fucking tough going. And you
don't need to be inside the Arctic Circle to do that.

it is, but given its costing them < £20 each I cant think of any
    reason why not to.

it is and they will. but if they can get a cabin/hotel/something for
the other nights cheap then it seems a sensible option. getting on the
road quickly each day will mean they can get a bit further.
he reckons to get into the arctic circle the day after next. (its
    about 500 miles away apparently).
he's not sure they'll make nordkapp but they always knew that would be
    a challenge.
