That's as may be, but I was born and brought up in the same town as the
    Fresh Prince of Norlonto here.

    Bucket of black dye.

Sit (or stand) with feet in bucket fo an hour or so.

No more need for socks, feet always match.

I have squillions[1] of pairs of black socks that have all faded
slightly differently. However, I've decided that although this is
noticable whilst holding the socks up together, it's not noticable when
    I'm wearing them, so IDGAF.

[1] This may be an exaggeration.

in your - somewhat depraved - dreams, old-timer.

Also, technically, you weren't born in the same town as me.

  10. We are not *all* like that y'know. Some of us have good looks[1] and
    sartorial elegance.

    Or the latter anyway.

    it's all relative.
No. Although I did indeed grow up in the same town that Platy was born
and raised in, I was born in London.

it's not really funny if you start to analyse it, though if it helps
Norlonto is a contraction of "North London Town" used in the Ken
    MacLeod novel "The Star Fraction".

You have "blackout" curtains? Oh come on, surely you've changed the
curtains since 1945? I have heard of some different ways of saving
money but you've just got a new job and surely can afford new curtains
    by now :)

    a) they're lined curtains and pretty good at keeping the light out.
    b) I didn't say it was "pitch black", just "dark".
my new job didn't come with an instant pay increase.
