the power of suggestion

A while back, some friends asked what car I'd recommend they got under
the scrappage scheme as a second car for the wife and occasional family
wagon and after running through the usual small car suspects, I ended
with the "but if I was spending my money, I'd go for something a bit
different..." line, and that's how they ended up with a Toyota iQ.

This week a colleague asked what bike he should buy, as having moved
from a Dullville to a 300cc Honda scooter thing he wanted something more
like a motorbike to cover the distance but with the convenience of the
scooter.

So, after running through the usual suspects, I ended with the "but if I
was spending my money, I'd go for something a bit different..." line,
and that's how he's now entered into serious negotiations for a DN-01.

I'm wondering if I've gone too far this time.

A DN-01 is never the answer to "more like a motorbike", so yes.

 

I had one of those follow me through London recently and when we stopped
at some lights we chatted for a couple of mins.

He seemed to love it and was raving about the auto/manual gear thingy.

When it was behind me I had no idea what it was, never seen one before.
I kindasorta thought it looked ok actually.

 

Looks like he's going to get a Versys instead as he ca get one for 4.5k
on cheap finance with the luggage thrown in.

Ah well

 

I like the look of that TBQH.

Don't fancy the slushbox though ..
