Well, it's not too bad. The food is good, some of the speakers have
been entertaining, and there's numerous fridges full of free Red Bull
    in the computer lab.

On the way up the New England Highway I was intrigued by the number of
fixed speed cameras - it's as though they put in an order for 2 and
were told "We've got a special running, if you buy 20 we'll give you a
    free coffee mug!"

At some point between Glen Innes and Tenterfield my backpack[1] worked
loose from most of its moorings and dangled just behind the left
exhaust, which proceeded to melt a hole through the bag, my near-new
sneakers, my new DriRider rainsuit, my Clown Pants... bugger! I
suppose I should count myself lucky that it didn't end up wedged in
    the back wheel though.

On the positive side, the showbags they're handing out here are funky
little day packs made by Caribee[2], so that cushioned the blow a bit.

Not sure when the Mt Glorious ride is happening, but if following Clem
through the Brisbane traffic is anything to go by he'll need to take a
newspaper to read for half an hour until I arrive at the top... ;-)

    the way.
[2] Sorry, they're only distributing 1 per attendee.

Lies all lies! BT sits right behind ya the whole way and then complains
that you went too quick! (He just likes to keep reinforcing the "you don't
    need a big bike" mantra).

I was hoping to do Mt Glorious on Wednesday but I think BT's working so I'm
out. Is there anyone who is free on Thursday?

    The Curry IS on though.
I'll post a separate message but Tuesday (tomorrow) night at The Indian
Curry Hut at Albion (Sandgate Rd opposite the pub.) about 7pm.
    Cheers ..... Clem
