Are you calling me a wanker?!

    www.jaycar.com.au has 'em too - pn ST3340 and ST3342, $15 and $20.

G, but wasn't the look on that other guy's face priceless when
has was prancing around showing off his little one, and I
whipped out my big one! I'm *definitely* a much bigger wanker
    than him!

Saw them in the street market in HK last night, but I didn't check the
    price.

Did pick up a nifty little single LED torch with a really thin 10 cm
gooseneck. Should be the ducks guts for looking into things like spark
    plug holes etc.

    $2.50

I'll take orders if anyone coming to the Supers wants one.
    orders before wednesday.

Might get another couple for myself. At that price, it's cheaper than
    replacing the batteries.

They Also have multi -LED torches (12 I think) (the ones with a switch
    on the end) for ~$6

Moike, I'm guessing you're going to the 'mens market'[1] in Temple
St? If so, you *must* make a point of visiting the won-ton noodle
shop just down the road from there. On Temple Street (just keep
going past the end of the market) about halfway between
Nanking St (I think) and Jordan Road, there's a little restaurant
that *only* sells won-ton noodle soup. Not hard to find, it's about
the only thing open there (apart from a few knock shops) at night.
They have the best bloody wontons on the planet! Me, I offer double
the asking price and say I want no noodles and double wantons.
    Bloody good, and cheap!

I'm not going to Supers (I think, not sure) but I'll happily send
cash and stomped, self-abused elephants and stuff. A couple of
each of those torches if you don't mind please.

Right up the opposite end (to the wonton place) there's an old duck
who sells those little solar powered waving things that you see in
shop windows from time to time. HK$10 last time I got one! Is it
just me, or are those things really cool? (Right up the far end near
Man Ming Lane right around the corner from YMT station)

G, hongkong... hmmm, it's about time I went back!

[1] She who must be obeyed is a local. She reckons that the Temple
St market is called 'mens market' and the one over in Tung Choi
St is called 'Ladies Market'. Since Temple St seems to be all
about pr0n, sex toys and led torches, the description seems
    apt!

Moike, if those 12-led torches use D-cell batteries, I'll take a dozen.

I made one of those the other day, since I had quite a few
appropriately-sized neodymium magnets lying around. It cost me about
$2 for the LED, but because I couldn't be bothered buying a "super
capacitor" it only shines with any brightness for about 10 seconds.

I meant the two that you described in your post, Mike, the gooseneck single
& the multi led ones, please.

The 12-LED torches take three AA cells. The cells are arranged in a
cluster, so the torch is short and fat. Seem to last for ages.

If you want them, let me know.

I tried out Smee's wanker torch last night. Shook it 10 times and set
a stopwatch to see how long it would shine.

    I fell asleep.

It was still shining this morning, but a bit weakly.

It isn't going to blind possums when it is fully charged, but makes a
    usable bit of light.

I'm going past again tonight so I think I'll get one for myself. It'll
make a handy emergency torch. $5.

orders by SMS. I think I still have 200g of baggage allowance left.

(oh, and the 12 LED torches are really 14 LED torches. They take a
cluster of 3 AAA batteries, but still last for ever, once you replace
the shitty chinese batteries that are supplied.)
