....isn't getting much better. What a pity.

It's cold enough this morning to fire up the woodburner.

It's fucking typical. The one day I really, really wanted it to stay
dry to take advantage of the empty roads & it's going to piss it down
    :-(

I just spent 40 minutes hanging around in the street waiting for the MOT
    place to open.

    Brrrrrrr.

Should've come to Silverstone on Monday. It was completely traffic-free.

  8. indeed I was all set up for a day off road with some KTM riders but
now I've done my shoulder I guess it's BBQ at my sisters for some 5%
pain killers - still don't know how I'll survive the morning now I'm
in effect house bound. Other than sneaky left hand wnaking, any
    ideas?

    cheers

What the hell is it with folk these days, bike places, tyre places used to
open at the crack of dawn & stay open until late. Lazy bastards dont open
until 9am round here ffs now. And they shut at 5pm...

"up North" implies "cold enough...to fire up the woodburner".

The sun came out this evening in Normandy. Saturday's forecast looks
    worse, let's hope it's wrong.

Well, I was outside the MOT place [1] at 7.20am to make sure I was first
through the door at 8am. Perhaps a bit early, but I didn't realise I'd
    get to Clapham that quickly.

My usual tyre place [2] is open 8.30 - 6, and until recently stayed open
til 8pm on Thursdays. Did a ride-in tyre swap for me for 20 quid the
    other day too.

And the dealer I use for servicing [3] opens at 8.30 and closes at 6,
but he seems happy to hang around an extra 45 minutes or so to give me
time to get up there and collect. Tightened up my headraces for nothing
    yesterday too.

Maybe life's just better down south.

[1] Clapham North MOT, friendly bunch, well recommended
[2] FWR in Kennington, Chris and Bob have always seen me right and
    looked after V recently too
[3] Wheelpower in Raynes Park. Good bunch with an RSV4 demonstrator I
need to blag a go on at some point.

I should think so an' all, assuming they're the ones that recently
fitted them, and lightened your wallet by a considerable amount IIRC.
