  3. At nowhere at all as it turned out - rained all afternoon and the same
tomorrow by the look of it. I shall have to make up some phosphoric acid
based primer/rustkiller first, if I can find a recipe.

Shame, I had a consignment went off to Ireland on Thursday, I cold have
put some phosphoric acid in and asked them to send it on

    How urgent is it?

  5. The acid isn't a problem - I have a litre of conc. but just want to find
out what Trustan23, Kurust, etc used in their mixes. My small supply of
T23 is coming to an end and there certainly isn't enough to do a trailer
chassis. I'll make up some simple water dilutions of 10, 20 and 30% to
see how weak I can get away with, but I suspect there was more than just
phosphoric acid in the aforementioned products.

    <dons old COSHH overall>

The composition will be in their data sheets

    No phosphoric acid in Kurust

This might help, although a bit vague at 10-30%

  7. Much obliged for the brown coat, guv.
Tannic acid is a surprise, but istr Kurust changed about ten years ago,
and I'm fairly sure it was phosphoric in the old formulation. Whatever,
the info on tannic is welcome.
Aha, it's helpful though. I'm on the right track.
