    Brendan,

you will have to sit in a booth, facing a monitor. There are a load of
different scenarios to go through. Basically, as you see hazards develop you
will need to click with the mouse. So in the scenario you are driving along,
someone starts to reverse out of a driveway. You will need to click on
screen to show you appreciated the hazard. If it becomes more dangerous, you
will need to click again. Basically, if you imagine that you are riding the
bike, you will click for all the stuff that makes you nervous, pedistrains
crossing, people reversing out of Drive ways that kind of thing. I was a bit
unsure of it, but I scored 62 out of 75. Just watch the disk that the DSA
send you, it should be fairly obvious, although to be honest, it did seem a
    bit sujective to me.

    Good luck.

  5. Just click the mouse when ever you think you see something that may be
a hazard, and click it again if the hazard gets more dangerous. I
think you can afford to be relatively generous with the 'clicks' but
if you do too many, it will score zero.

eg. See a pedestrian on the pavement - 'click', see a bus coming -
'click', cyclist turns onto main road from sideroad in the distance -
'click', pedestrian waves at bus - 'click', cyclist dissapears behind
bus - 'click', pedestrian bolts across road for bus - 'click', cyclist
pulls out to overtake bus - 'click'.

You have to remember that one of the clips will have two scorable
hazards, the other 14 have one (but you don't know which!).
Personally, it was all relatively predicatable, and if your not too
timid with the mouse, you should pass.

75 out of 75 myself - well chuffed was I.

  6. Just managed to dig out my copy of the DSA's DVD 'Hazard Perception -
Roadsense', which explains the test in more detail and gives you
    practice tests.

Free to a good home, but _only_ if you send me a stamped, addressed,
DVD sized jiffy bag to put the bugger in.

e-mail me for the address if interested.
