To the best of my knowledge, Tasmania is not one of the states that has
    a Learner Approved Motorcycle scheme.

    And yet, Autoguide
    <http://autoguide.com.au/news.asp?ed_id=2511&class=Motorcycles>
a review of the Hyosung Comet 650, says
"There's a LAMs (Learner Approved Motorcycle) version as well for places
like NSW, Tasmania and the ACT,"

    Australian Road rider,
    <http://www.roadrider.com.au/bikes/hyosung_comet_gt650> says of the
    Hyosong Comet:
"There’s a LAMs (Learner Approved Motorcycle) version as well for places
like NSW, Tasmania and the ACT"

And this months Two Wheels review of the Hyosung Comet repeats the same
    claim.

These are the only places I have seen the suggestion that Tassie has a
LAMs cheme, and they are all in reviews of the same bike.

Now I'm all for recycling, and I think it's cool that these folk read
what one another write, but I have this annoying aversion to plagiarism.

Is it really plagiarism when you recycle the press release ? I thought
that was what journalists called "research"

(in marketing an off the cuff comment by the lecturer was around how the
closer you can word your press releases to the way a journalist would
put them in an article, the more likely you are to get them published,
    and published untouched)

In this case it's not just the words, it's the "ideas" as well Someone
has made the initial error about Tassie and LAM in a review of the
Comet, and the error has been repeated in two other publications.

Makes you wonder about the Journos concerned, not the least because
somewhere in there I would have expected one of them to be on top of an
    issue like LAMs.
