Steve, I don't know if you're interested, or even if the current owner of a CBR400 would be, but she *was* talkig about selling hers before Christms and I've not heard whether she did or not. I could ask her if she's still flogging it, if it's been flogged already or she#s changed her mind. If you want me to. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
In that case, can I interest you in a nice lowish mileage (36k) R100RT with a dropped valve? Might be more your sort of thing
Cheeky sod I traded it for a Ducati, more my thing ATM than a Beemer, although a Boxer Cup would be interesting. I found the RS a bit, well, dull really
It isn't. The same trip, desk-to-desk in the car is nearly half an hour faster. It is more enjoyable though.
Transalp? Nige might still have his. <searches> Yep. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Honda-Transalp-XL600V-Luggage-SATNAV-Sat-Nav_W0QQitemZ120522202779 Offer the **** £850 ex TomTom
Cheapest I've seen a used one was a high mileage 07 model for ?2795, but it's worth paying a bit more than you budgeted for to get something you really feel at home on, I mean plenty of people bought shit like BMW GSs
Last time I went shopping for stuff in the 600 class, anything with 'ZX6R' on its arse was attracting much higher insurance quotes than CBR600s etc, and the 'cat was even cheaper than those.
And in this case, pertty nice plastic too as we've just "Repsol-ed" the **** out of it. All panels in mint cndition and all painted in the Repsol scheme used in the late 80's. I ride nakeds too, for the same reason. I tend to discover my bikes lying down after I've got off them. Usually on my drive or in front of a bunch of cunts You just need more practice. I'll ask her anyway, like you say, no harm. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
I'll see your side stand incident and raise you a tie-down. At a garage in Germany I'd just filled up and decided to check my luggage/tent were secure so I pulled like **** on the straps and got "assistance" from a blast of wind (f'narr) which helped lift the bike *off* the side stand and onto its right hand side, resulting in a bike lying horizontally and feeling sorry for iteslf. Fortunately a German bikey bloke gave me a lift to pick the fucking thing up. -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
that's him. He rode all the way to Gloucester to join a ride organised by Champ. It was eons ago as Carmichael joined us en route to Aberystwyth. Then Kev rode home. His own coast to coast to coast. Probably didn't take him long as he rode much unlike any other XV535 owner I have seen. WTF is the mad **** now?
