Was a blinking cold time to be setting off riding!

It's most certainly getting nippier of a morning. It also seems that no matter
what product I try, the specs seem to want to mist over for the first few
    minutes.

Next product to try is Halfrauds own anti mist and water repellant. If that
fails then trying not to breathe out for the first half mile or so seems to be
    the only solution )

If tomorrow morning is as parky as this morning was, the product test will be
    happening soon!

Same as you use on the visor, the tiniest amount of washing up liquid[1]
    polished to a sparkle.

[1] Although some have suggested that this contains small salt granules
which can act as an abrasive, so go for the one with the healthy living
    label.

I have been thinking about this and it occurs that it is probably only
the expensive ones which have the salt. I wouldn't be at all surprised
if Tesco Value liquid was just the stuff for the job.

Contact lenses don't steam up apparently.

Neither do prescription swimming goggles but you'll look a twat.

  7. It's the cheapy ones have the salt. A soupcon of salt thickens up the
diluted thin stuff, you see. Makes the customer think they're getting
    something better.

    Warm them first.

First thing I do when I get up is put on my glasses. By the time I'm on the
bike my face has warmed up the lenses enough to stop them from fogging.

My glasses really only mist up when the fog is so thick that there's no
    point in me wearing them.

My solution for winter: contact lenses + Shoei never-fog-up-ever
    visor. Done.

First thing I do when I get up is put on my glasses. Because I'm a
seriously blind **** who couldn't see the door without opthalmic
    assistance.

They still fog up inside a lid.

Any salt in washing up liquid is dissolved.
Even the solidified stuff around the nozzle doesn't have any discernable
crystals through my new Lidl microscope.

After three years of winter bike commuting, my solution for this year
is to go in the car. Done.

I know it's getting colder as I've only had to clean mine once this week
(so far). It's been every day up to now.

    Bloody fair-weather insects.
Where are all the real insects who fly through the winter?

They get killed during the summer on the front of many, many visors.
