We've got some prawn crackers left over from last nights Chinese take
away, do you think I should keep them?

They might come in handy next time you need to package something up in
    a box and post it.

They'd be stolen by a hungry benefit claimant after Steve H and the
rest of the fascists have made sure he can't afford a Chinese
    takeaway.

Take-aways are clearly a luxury item and therefore only deserved by the
    working masses.

Out of the public sector there are not many Union members anyway.
WTF is the point of going on strike anyway when the cupboard is bare.

I'm not working (1) at the moment so should I go to jail for my sins?

    (1) I'm off sick and currently catching up on this years TT that was
recorded when we were on the island.

    You're having a laugh aren't you?
To try and keep your working conditions as they are at the moment?
Maybe to protest against unnecessary cuts?
To try and stop your job from being handed over to cheap foreign
labour or from being outsourced to India?

I've got more in the bag if you want me to list them.

I'm driving to Paris on Saturday. I understand the Frogs are panic
    buying fuel....

Hm. One diesel car and Calais-Paris return. SHould be possible on a
    tankful....

I'd chuck a 25l jerry can in the boot if I were you.

Champ and me filled up this afternoon and there weren't any queues or
panic buying to be seen. Hopefully it'll be the same over the next
couple of days as we head from Ace's to Jen's otherwise we're
    screwed.

I think if you look up the stats they will be a surprise. I did a couple of
    months ago, and was.

See post below: BBC reckons you might be fucked unless some reserve stocks
    are released.

Which link did you use that broke membership down into public sector
    and private sector?

There are worse places to be stranded. At least we can pop into
Switzerland to fill up if we get stuck here so we can still play.

Possibly... but that has nothing to do with your working status.

I'll be fine as long as they don't dig up the patio.

It may be caused by panic-buying, but the result is the same - all the
local filling stations are empty apart from snacks and cold drinks. I'm
going to phone the one in the larger town 20km away, before driving the
extra distance to get there. Would feel very silly if I ran out of
petrol on the way back from an unsuccessful forage.
