That one wouldn't work. In fact I suspect it would just hasten it.
See HP for an example how sucessful unite have been..

  2. The Scoob does 600 miles to a tankful, easy, on the motorway., so I'm
not worried, but I'll sling a gallon can in the back anyway.

And as Hog says, I might be able to flog it.

even without a strike, petrol stations are fairly scarce near Ace[1]. With
CH just a few km away and petrol at a £1 a litre, or thereabouts, most
    people import fuel.

[1] 1st two in my Garmin's database of Mulhouse were shut/redeveloped.
    Found LeClerc eventually.

It's fine round here; Neal and Preston popped out to fill up at the
local supermarket earlier on. Possibly due to Swiss proximity, IYSWIM.
If you can just pop over the border why would you bother panic buying?

I was on the way to you and decided to ride through Mulhouse just because I
hadn't been there before. Yellow light came on as I left Colmar

I filledup at a Total station in Chartes OK on Thursday, but there did
seem to be a larger queue for petrol at Casino yesterday afternoon.
I'm off to do some shopping this morning and will fill up if I can.
Otherwise your UR consignment may be stranded in Peyrat.
How far is the nearest autoroute - that *might* be the best bet.

No, you're meant to give subtle hints that there is a body under the
allotment. Plod come round, dig it all over, find no body.

But at least it's then nicely dug over, ready for planting.

I believe Fletch used this to good effect in Porridge.

Just filled up with SP98 at the hypermarket in Eymoutiers. The only
indications of anything out of the ordinary were signs on the pumps.
One said no filling jerry cans. The other said the 24 hour credit card
machine pump was not in use. Both because of the 'situation'.
Presumably if they didn't stop 24 hour sales everyone would fill up
their jerrcans over night. I've got a 5 gallon container that I keep
juice for the mowers, strimmer and chaisaw in. Unfortunately it only
has about a gallon left in it. The weather is so good I was going to
cut the grass this afternoon. I'll see if there's any petrol left in
the mowers and if so I will. Otherwise I'm saving it for the chainsaw
to do some tree felling and saw logs for the log burner as it was
pretty nippy up here (600 metres) last night with no cloud cover.

I can do 400+ miles on what's in the tank of the Mazda now so
fluffycats delivery is go. If everything runs dry after next week when
SWMBO and the lad have arrived we'll just have to have an extended
    holiday.

We saw the same signs today but no problem getting fuel. The only
trouble we had was finding a hotel as the town we chose to stop in
was hosting a conference and everywhere was full. So we had to rack
up a load of (extremely twisty) extra miles getting to the next town
when it was already well past beer o'clock.

Nobbut there is a BIG difference - a mongbus does not have a tail lift
    and tiedowns.
