thoughts motogp's 990 formula...

    ....i never thought i'd say it, but i love the big 4-stroke engines.
    even more than the 500s. the 990s sound so...ugly. it's beautiful.

    intellectually i really appreciate what the 500s were, but there just
    isnt the same raucous, thunderous bark you get w/ the 990s. i hope
    they dont lose that w/ the 800s.

    when you hear the 990s rev...they sound like some sort of primitive,
    primordial beast.

    I like the sound of the Kawasaki the most.
    It has some magical resonance that seems to bounce my internal organs
    around when it gets on the throttle. I remember standing at laguna turn
    3 and watching a practice. That Kawi rocked!

    2nd best is the Duc.

    i like 'em to.

    i think the kawis have the shortest pipes...so you're hearing the
    closest thing to the raw combusion coming out of the valves!
