Oh well. I'm still functioning, but over three hours in the icy cold wind and snow waiting for a recovery truck weren't ideal. I was doing about 20 mph and was about to signal left in good time to turn left at a junction when the rear of the bike decided it wasn't going to do the whole upright thing anymore and after a couple of seconds it wanted to have a little snooze. If you're bored hit 'map' in the text to the right and the location is there. Summary of damage I've seen so far. 1) Datatool System 3 goes into panic mode a couple of seconds after it arms. Putting it in Ferry Mode doesn't stop the 'full alert'/panic triggering. After speaking with TOG & wessie the bike is now in Service mode which means it does a double blip every 15 seconds. I got it recovered to work and I'll have a look at it tomorrow and ring the insurance company if required. 2) Bike no longer starts. All the usual lights go on, bike deffo in neutral, pull in clutch and hit starter and nada. Nothing dims, it's as if a fuse has blown or the button isn't being pressed. When I threw my ER-5 down the road a few years ago it failed to start and the starter fuse had died. Ripping off the seats on the Tiger does not reveal anything which looks like a fuse box. So might be the datatool being funny or a blown fuse, wherever that might be hiding. 3) Rear footpeg hanger which is welded to the frame has been bent into the exhaust. Bike came to rest on this part of the frame and the handlebar & tank so not surprised. 4) Rear brake pedal bent 5) Exhaust pipe protector cover under engine hanging off 6) Left mirror AWOL, right mirror scraped and mirror arm bent 7) Deep gash in RHS bar weight 8) Front brake lever bent to a curl 9) RHS hand protector gashed 10) Handlebar *possibly* bent - either that or the headstock is slightly fooked as the bar hits the tank when on full lock now. 11) Probably related to point 10 - wires/cables/tubes around bars now appear under tension 12) RHS indicator smashed 13) Deep scratches in tank 14) Various cables have found their way out of the front of the bike around the forks. 15) Probably related to either point 4 or 8 - Bike no longer wants to move. It's like one the brakes are seized or seizing. Took two people to push it on to the back of the recovery van. wessie has suggested that this may be due to the front brake disk getting bent on impact - It's a possibility but the bike does move, but one needs to be rather firm.
