Can anyone recommend a good tool for removing the centre spark plug on a
Triumph Tiger 900 (carb not injection model)?

It needs to be long and thin enough to reach the plug but just short enough
to get under the frame tube. [1]

The obvious answer would be the one in the OEM tool kit but this multi-owner
example has long since lost it's tool kit.

'corse, if anyone happens to have an Triumph oem plug spanner going
    spare....

[1] I'm sure we had a triple (Yamaha?) down the workshop a few years ago
with a convenient hole through the frame spine directly above the plug.

Well not to be too obvious, but what about a Triumph dealer?
You'll probably need it yourself sometime, so don't let anyone have it.
Angle grinder will make on for the Trumper.

Is Rope too obvious an answer?

  4. It's a bugger, innit? I had to do it on a Sprint a few years ago, and in
my collection of plug spanners, I found one that fitted. Can't remember
    which one it was, though.

Yup, I know this isn't much help.

*If* it's the same size as Honda VFR 750 plugs I'd be tempted to try
one of them - they're probably the most compact plug spanner available.
