  4. Hmm. I quite like that I do. What paint and what application method? As
in, was in an aerosol job? Did you spend much effort on the pre-prep?

I've always wanted to turn the ZZR into a black one, especially after I
    scuffed the fairing.

Good gloss black is too much effort/expense. A nice stealth black on
    the other hand....

    me too, actually.

I bet it's still too heavy to actually be a serious off-road tool,
    though.

Yep aerosols - Holts Satin Black. Preparation was mainly just
feathering the edges where the decals were, as they were under the
lacquer. Then a quick once over with 160 grit paper.
The problem is 'normal' paint isn't fuel resistant, & using a fuel
resistant lacquer turns satin into gloss. So you either have to make
damn sure you never spill fuel on it, or try to track down some Sperex
Tough Black Satin - easier said than done. A local motor factors will
order some for me, but only if I take 12 cans :-/

It'll still be over 200kgs, so yes. Although David Knight's riding a
950 KTM in this year's Welsh 2-day Enduro, so a god like him would
    manage ok!

The Tig should be perfect for Salisbury Plain though, which is where
it'll do most of its playing.
