Tiger vs V-Strom

  1. In uk.rec.motorcycles, BGN amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
True, but you'll have fun while you do it.

I quite like the look of them.

I'm on holiday from 22nd Oct - 6th Nov and have a few days off dotted
around after those dates so it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm not planning on buying a new bike until March but if you decide to
get rid of it around that time then please let me know.

They're just begging for some gaffer tape over the tank.

I forgot to mention the suspension on the Tiger. It was very soft, in
a good way. The 'Strom was much more firm and it reminded me of my
ER5's. I did the same route on both bikes and deliberately threw them
at speed bumps. If I had a Tiger I probably wouldn't adjust the
suspension - we have some shit roads around here.

I don't suppose one can get it over much more than that without A&E
    being involved.
I took it up to the rev limiter a couple of times, but it didn't seem
to be happy up there. It was a used bike, so it might have had a
couple of issues. It had some exhaust problems.

I can understand and see how one can do it on a Strom, but the Tiger's
tyres just don't appear to go that far round.

I can see how tyres that don't go round the full 360 degrees could be a
cause for concern. I'm sure they did though - it must've been an
optical delusion. Anyway, the (post '98) Tig & Strom have the same size
    tyres.
