Time to go home?

I'll be leaving the office shortly, having just pulled a 17 hour
stint. Got loads done and haven't yet started to feel tired yet

....

Ten minutes later and I'm shutting down, both the machine and the
eyes. See y'all tomorrow.

Do you get paid overtime for that?

Everything over 12 I get double time.

 

I think Ace gets time off to go skiing which is worth more to him than
a few hundred Swiss francs.

 

I've been through this before and might actually try skipping a nights
sleep next week to see if it resets my insomnia. As long as my mind is
busy I can generally stay awake, but then I sleep like a mofo.

 

All of my time is clocked, and the excess goes into my balance for
TOIL

Only at weekends.

Give the man a coconut. That was also, less directly, the reason I had
to work so late - promises of production releases before christmas
have to be kept and I'm off for three weeks from tomorrow.

This was a one-off, but it took me a while to get to sleep. Woke up
with an alarm at 0830 but didn't come in until about ten. Feel fine
this morning though.

Of course, the alternative would have been to go to the Divisional
xmas party, which apparently had the best food ever. I'd have been in
bed about the same time, but I don't think I'd be quite so
compos-mentis thhis morning -:}

Even I get it right once in a while.

Have fun, I've got another week to go before I get a fortnights
holiday.

 

That's okay then. I see lots of people working that kind of hours and
getting nothing for it.
