Only if you want to do the "protesters'" job for them.

I'll fill the Jag at some point this week because I need it on Thursday
and Friday, the Z13 will get filled on the way home tomorrow because
it'll need it. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.

If I can't get to work, I'll do it some other time.

And I'll go out of my way to make life fucking difficult for at least
one local farmer and one local haulier during the time I'm unable to get
    about.

I don't care. Diesel costs me an effective 3Oc / litre.

Oh I think I'd have to be a little more subtle than that. After all
Giles has got any number of tractors running on red diesel to shift hard
    objects blocking the yard.

Large bloke onna deckchair with a pen, a crossword and a bad attitude,
    however...

    <starts emptying the wheelie bin frantically> ...

The neighbours will love me ...

<fondly remembers last fuel crisis> Emergency services evacuated up to 20
homes in Derby after almost 230 litres of petrol, stockpiled because of the
fuel crisis, began to leak. Firefighters went to the home of a city taxi
driver after a strong smell of petrol was reported. They found the fuel was
illegally stored in beer barrels and a wheelie bin. </fondly>

If it happens, and I can't get to work because of it, it'll happen.

    And that's a promise.

Oh yes. I'll just pop in and ask Goiles if he supports the protest. If
he's daft enough to say "yes", it's on. If not, there's another one just
along the road, and if *that* fails there's a haulage company in the
    next village along.
If you can get here... ;^)

How do you manage that price, Dieselveg have used cooking oil at 75p a
    litre
    http://www.dieselveg.com/buy_oil_from_us.htm

Fortunately they are too far away to be an option for me.

My Pajero has a couple of modifications which allow it to run wih
straight veg oil (Dieseltherm and heat exchanger on fuel line).

Local cafe have offered me all their waste oil but I'm reluctant to take
it in case I have to start doing the customs and excise, environmental
protection (apparently costs £4000 for a license to transport waste veg
oil). Besides not sure how easy it is to filter/treat WVO for use in the
    car.

If there is a blockade I've enough diesel in the thing to get to the
cafe and there is probably enough oil waiting for a few weeks worth of
    transport.

Probable be easier buying a brand new Honda Cub with a full tank of fuel ;-)

Anyone know if the diesel engined motorbike designed by Cranfield and
HDT is available for anyone other than the military ?

  12. Collect it myself and store it. The SOJC and Tranny run happily on a 70%
    WVO/Diesel mix with fuel heating.

The solid chipoil is a different story though; the only thing that can
be done with that is biodiesel conversion.

Heh.. does this mean that Cubs and the like will get valuable?
Dunno, that would be nice to find out though. Meanwhile, you could just
stick a diesel engine in an MZ frame or something. ;)

It says "limit how much you can purchase at one time."

How does that work? They can't very well ask you to put it back once its' in
your tank, and as far as I am aware, no pumps can be programmed to cut off
    at £10 mark or anything.

Also says "Limit hours of sale of fuel". I can see the 24 hour garages
loving that idea, as they all go bankrupt.

Unworkable is a word that jumps to mind.

Can they? OK, if you say so. That's all pumps is it, at EVERY station in the

  19. Pretty much, most used have/had cutoffs set for 'unreasonable'
amounts. Several times in the past[1] I've had to have to goes at
    buying more than £50 worth.

    [1] These days I'd guess it's more like £100
