To break or not to break... that is the question - TOG?

Paters VF500 is in need of a bit of TLC - the carbs are way off
balance, need cleaning (loads of hesitation at low revs / has trouble
idling / revs drop slowly when you release the throttle), and are a
    PITA to get at.

The MOT expired a while back, front calipers are sticking and need
freeing off, and having checked it over the other day, the front tyre
is right on the 1.6mm limit.

What in your opinion would it fetch if I broke it up - doesn't seem to
be much on eBay to use as a yardstick as to its worth in bits.

  3. Nobody is restoring VF500s, so used VF500 stuff is worth **** all,
except (maybe) for bodywork and the complete engine. Sorry.

Not as sembarrased as the Major Gov't as apparently, (apocryphal alert),
they forgot to include motorcycles in the amending legislation - so they
    stay at the old limit.
