Indeed. Shirley any fule kno that in writing a legal-type document or
agreement that one should never use two commas in a sentence, as that
renders any words between the two commas to be ignored. I had that
drummed into me many years ago when I started drafting notices and I
would disrespectfully suggest that the legal team allowing that
    sentence deserve all they get.

BTW, ever heard of an ellipsis?

Quite so. Short sharp shock tactics are required in notices[1]. Far
better to avoid punctuation of any kind. I never got involved in
drafting pollution authorisations or permits. These appear to go on for
pages and pages full of interminable detail. Their efficacy could hinge
on the exact position of a bracket. Wait a minute, I seem to have been
invaded by the denizens of Stackton Tressel ...

[1] Or should that be short, sharp shock?

In my contract law class it was already an example of
    how not to do it.

The problem is that it might not be what ROGERS intended,
but it was clearly what Aliant intended, as they sent
back the contract with that specific change. Then Rogers,
through their lawyers, agreed to it. Poof. Contract.
Idiots. Not that the monopolistic thick cunts don't
    deserve it, mind you.
