Dr. Big Maggot is of the opinion:
I reckon that's false advertising -- "Type: Sport/Performance"? Also note
that just because someone won the bid doesn't mean that they'll actually pay
up. Ask James about that experience...

    Congrats: that's a good price for a non-RWC XJ650!

    Nice.

But I reckon it still doesn't beat the $1050 I got for
    and '88 GPX250 with a blown engine and 50,000km. ;-)

  8. 1. When the bike was released, it was sold as a sports bike.
    2. Cash is already in the bank.

Dr. Big Maggot is of the opinion:
And when my bike was released, it was TW's bike of the year. Doesn't
    Useful stuff, cash.

    Gefugged!

    25 years ago it was.

Last sunday, with the carbies nicely balanced, sporting a fresh coat of
paint and with all renewed front suspension, it felt a bit like it going
    up the Reefton.

    I like it.

    How's your bike, Al?

What distinguishes a superbike then, and perhaps still, is its performance:
the faster you go, the better it performs. Something that can't be said for
    most of the RS' contemporaries.
