  1. Hope you can help.

2 year old stolen recovered Bandit 1200.

100 per cent sound as far as I can tell.

Cosmetically crap. (no damage at all from the theft but tiny marks and
dings all over it from it's time away from home and, I suspect,
    recovery by plod.)

No insurance claim has been made on it.

1 Owner. (Well one legal owner)

10,000 miles. Tyres half worn, chain crap no real service history.

When I went to see it I hadn't been told it was stolen and recovered
and I was so flabberghasted I made my excuses and turned it down.

However after a couple of days to think it's so much better than the
    older non-nicked B12's I've seen that I'm tempted. [1]

I don't care about the cosmetics and I'm planning to keep it forever.

    Worth £2500?

    TIA.

[1] It seems 2 years and a short period of extreme neglect isn't as
    damaging as 5-6 winters.

<snipped lots of bits you don't need to worry about and suddenly bike sounds
    GREAT>

Seems like the ideal situation for a good old Haggle.
