Tog down but not out. Ouch

  1. Up the outside of traffic as you do, and Twatty Kid in ancient white
Peugeot 106 pulls a right, unindicated.

XT600 winds up in his right front wheel arch.

Typical shit kid car. Taxed, but one mirror missing.... Witness says he
didn't indicate but then says she can't be sure. He says he did but
cancelled after the crunch. No point in arguing the toss with the
insurers, so we go our own ways.

Damage to bike: twisted forks in yokes, now untwisted. Indicator lens.
Small scuff on already scuffed polypropylene plastic headlight cowl.
Don't you just love dirt bikes? Thank Christ it wasn't the K.

Damage to me: bruised chest and a left wrist that's seizing up. Don't
think it's busted as I can move all my fingers and handle all the boney
bits without screaming. So just a bad sprain.

I should have ID'd the car as a threat from the start.
    I'll live.

Right bike for the occasion then. Did you have the metal rimmed crosser
boots on as well? Mind you if the 106 was that scabby then giving it a
    kicking would be futile.

Didn't similar happen to you on the 400-four a year or so ago ? Or was
    that Anne ?
Its what they are meant for ... innit ?
    :)
Not illegal, IIRC (can't be arsed reading) a minimum of 2 mirrors req'd.
But note details etc anyway, *and* from experience inform plod. 'cos if he
does, then you are the one in the wrong etc....

odds are his mates down the pub will egg him on for a claim tonight.
    <G>

I doubt the 106 would have been in one piece if it had been :)

You can clock the cunts a mile away, fucking annoying.

I escaped well on Saturday, whilst overtaking the thick old **** just veered
at me sideways. Luckily i was just far enough away not to kop it.

If it was that easy, he would not have hit him :)
Not sure about others, but I do get a bit complecent sometimes.

Coming back up the M6 on Friday, I caught myself daydreaming a couple of
times as I filtered, instead of watching for twitchy wheels.

While quaffing with the man t'other night, in the haze there was a recent
one but before that it was a 25 years span IIRC

Pedant he may be, but you got it wrong *twice* in one sentence , a stoning
    offence.

  18. There was a very low-speed Trophy/Citroen rear bumper interface about
four years ago. Entirely my fault, no hurting, but expensive (Triumph
    plastics...)

Um, but apart from that, er, um, the last time I was skittled was,
    Christ, must have been 1977.
