    GWS, you silly sod!

Get the injuries checked out and do as others have said - report it.

If the myopic kid puts a claim in against you, you can throw injuries
into the pot, which will possibly teach him a lesson...

Probably. A mate broke his wrist (years ago), and thought the same,
but that night it kept him awake, hurting more and more, so he went to
A&E the next morning and was told he broken his scaphoid.

Anyway, treatment now should be RICE:

    - Rest
    - Ice
    - Compression
    - Elevation

The ice is prolly the most important of these, so get the bag of
frozen peas out of the freezer.

Your firstborn is never going to let you forget this, "Dad, want me to
    fix the bike for you?".

    GWS, Ibuprofen is your friend.

    Heh.

I was a workhouse boy in that, ran for a week (plus matinee) at the
Derby Playhouse back in, oooh, 1973 or so. Still got the program
somewhere, but the cast photo managed to get me mid-blink. so I look
    like a complete spaz.
