  3. All second-hand prices are going up, and the Continentals will
absolutely love this - they sell well over there. I wouldn't be
surprised if Rosner hasn't already got a Continental dealer connection.

But the Z1000 really isn't popular here. Not at all. I reckon £4k,
privately. I'd be surprised if it makes £4.5k.

What were you thinking of buying? Speed Triple? Street Triple?

Speed Triple. 4K is roughly what I expected, a bit more maybe. It's
    not depreciated much :)

Really? We sell every single one that comes in almost as soon as they
land with us, except the matt blue ones.

  13. Used, they may find friends, I suppose. Kawasaki sure didn't sell many
    new ones.

May well do, but I love the way litre bikes hurl themselves at the
    horizon.

the way the price has held does tend to indicate some demand. I only
paid 4.5 for it (from Dobles) when it was 9 months old.

  16. Interesting. That was some massive eraly depreciation, then.

I suppose the rulebook has gone out of the window, then. New bikes are
damned pricey - used ones get pricer too....

The new one is very popular, and after riding it I can see why

I paid 5 grand for mine with 441 miles on the clock and 6 weeks old. I was
offered 4 grand cash for it this weekend, but I'm not flogging it yet.

I wonder why the 750 is a bigger seller than the thou (in Europe)?
Apparently, Kwak have flogged over 6 and half thousand of 'em. No idea how
    many thou's have sold though.

  20. I read a French bike mag which said the 750 was the top-selling 'big'
    road bike there.

The Thou? Well, it would have to be detuned for the weedy Frogs. Big
bikes aren't so popular there. Why have (and pay for) a Gixxer Thou when
it has to be detuned to (IIRC) 106bhp?
