Finally, after 6 whole fucking years I have managed to complete level
    12. I managed the first 11 levels in about 6 months of occasional play,
but 12 was just a little bit harder for me so I took a little bit longer
    than anticipated.

These catacombs are a bit of a bastard. Too many leopards and yetis.
I'll update you with my progress in January 2008.

You still play that? I got an almost unplayed copy of Last Revelation if you
badly want it. I can only symathise with the frustration. I really cant be
arsed to play TR anymore, what with nasty war games like MOH and Enemy
Territory nowadays that are far easier to plug into ....
Hey what about a UKRM meet up on ET now *THAT* would be worthwhile....

Oh yes please, I quite enjoy TR games. I'm not much into all out war and
    destruction any more.

If you fancy a near-identical Indiana Jones one, I'll fish it out, and
    bring it to the BOSM.

    <checks>

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.

Me, I'm waiting for Civ 4 to come out.

RRT 3 and "Pirates!" will have to do until then.

    Are they making one? [1]

    Is that Rail Road Tycoon?

I've got Darklands (c. 1992) on my laptop at the moment to while away the
    commute.
Quite nifty really as it's so easy going on the computer the battery lasts
    ages.

Course when I first played it (1993 'loaned from a friend') on a 386SX 33 it
    ran somewhat awfully.

    That's progress. [2]

[1] loved Civ 1 , spent too many hours playing Civ 2 but haven't ever tried
    3.
No idea why there were addictive - they just were/are. Something about being
able to send battalions of tanks to your neighbour who's still got little
    spear men :)

[2] tried X-Wing the other day - laptop is too fast for that :|

    It is.
3's not all that - Sid Meier wasn't involved, but he's back on board
    for 4.
