Apparently it's finally been closed down, as of last weekend. -- Krusty '03 Tiger 955i '02 MV Senna (for sale) '96 Tiger (for sale) '79 Fantic Hiro 250 (for sale) '81 Corvette (for sale)
It's a 500(ish) acre hill farm in mid Wales where you could turn up, hand Tommy (the owner) a fiver, then blast around 'til you either got bored, knackered, or broke some bones. It's been going for decades, & the council have been trying to shut it down for as long as I can remember, but never quite managed it until now.
No ones safe from the do gooders... I had a look round some of the 4x4 forums and even found one lot all gleefully going on about how pleased they were that the 'irresponsible' offroaders had been stopped! 'First they came for the je...... er I mean the Jimmys.....' Their front lawns used to be safe while the head bangers were tucked away in a remote few hundred acres in mid Wales. By heck there's been some fun had in that place.
Cunts, they are trying to close the Flappit round here, been going for years. -- Nige, BMW K1200S Range Rover Vogue Suzuki GSX-R600 Racebike
Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Nige In fairness, they were trying to close the Flappit fifteen years ago when I lived near it. -- Wicked Uncle Nigel - "He's hopeless, but he's honest" I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Looks like a dangerous place: http://www.keighleynews.co.uk/news/4436315.Three_vehicles_in_Flappit_crash
It really needs organising & if the council got thier shit together, it could be a superb off road bike site, but Land Rovers etc don't really fit in. Open up the green lanes for us in the landies & let the bikes have flappit. It's always cunts on quads that die too., -- Nige, BMW K1200S Range Rover Vogue Suzuki GSX-R600 Racebike
I had my first go on a quad this week and was surprised at just how hideously they handled. The only way to get it to go round bends was gas the **** out of it, slide the back end out and drift it round. Guide was having none of it, mind.
The rumour is it won't be his land for much longer as the taxman's nabbed it. I'm one of several who'll be keeping a close eye on the Welsh property auction houses over the next few months.
