That news makes me feel quite sad. Not John Peel levels of sad but sad
    all the same.

I suppose he's going to morph into a pile of ashes soon.

I see a bright new future, where chickens can cross the road with no
fear of having their motives questioned

I think we need to have a 306c rule, y'know.

It's always an emotional moment when a Conservative Prime Minister dies.

  8. Friends said he'd been looking quite drawn recently...

Ex Ghurka officer. Could have easily taken John Noakes and Johnny
    Morris together in a fight.

  11. I didn't, but I felt terribly, terribly sad. It was just the
disappearance of someone who gave some sort of shape to my life when I
was younger. Not a role model, but a guy whose actions were just a
constant backdrop to what was then my biking apprenticeship.

  12. I didn't know that. Blimey.

Of course, Johnny Morris would have enlisted a talking lion or something
    on his side.

  13. Tony would have called in Jack "Nails" Hargreaves who'd have had that
lion skinned, butchered and turned into biltong before you could gasp
    "How?"

  15. Damn shame, nice old boy.

Still, we have the Illustrious Rolf to keep us supplied with unlikely
    drawings.

Yes, that was exactly it. He was part of my youth, and his going
reminded me that my youth had gone too.

  18. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Champ
You should have treated him better. They like video games and crisps.
