It's too cold to ride, can't wait until spring
    to ride again.

    I miss riding my bike!

It's too cold for YOU to ride.
The rest of us are getting plenty of air.

    One word ...cheap!

So warm I need only a t-shirt underneath. Have to take it off when I go
into a store. Windproof and water repellent. Perfectly snug and cozy at
65-70mph in 40 deg F temps. My face icing up is the limiting factor.
Amazing for such a cheapo garmet.

I find that winter gloves and a pair of thermasilks under my jeans is
all that I need as long as the temp's
above freezing (below freezing I'm more concerned with black ice than
    frost on my jinglebells)

BTW: when riding remember that the temperature of the ground can be
much different that the air temperature
    - so you can still have ice on the ground when the air temperature is
in the 50's This is more important in
the sierras but it can bite you in the Santa Cruz mountains sometimes.

  8. Not so sure that it'd be my first choice to wear to a motorcycle
crash though. Maybe with a JR Phoenix jacket underneath it. Also
looks a mite drafty depending on your riding position and wind
    protection.

Another decent bargain is Kimpex bar heaters for ~ $25-30. I get
occasional use out of these even in summer.

That season is gone. Try again next Aug-Sept.

The only time it's too cold to ride is when there's glaze ice on the
road. I haven't ordered my ice-spike tires from Minnesota yet ;-)
