Quo at Wembley - first time (for me) since 1984. I know they're not everyone's cup of cold sick, but the old fellahs can still cut the mustard, imo. Even the missus enjoyed it. By, 'eck, the audience has aged a bit - I felt quite the young whippersnapper. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/CBX1000Z |_\_____/_| ..93550../..25068.../..31928. Bugger, I wanted to see them after missing them in Hammersmith a couple of years ago. ****, bum and shit.
Heh, yes. Saw that at Guilfest a couple of years back. Great stuff though, even Maggie enjoyed it and it's not really her cup of tea musically. The most amnusing part was the girl standing near us, on her own [1], who knew the words to all the songs and had her own dances with special jumps and twirls for particular accents in the music. Most amusing. [1] I'd imagine her mates were hiding somewhere.
Quite. Last, and only. time I saw them live was at Aston University Students Union when they were doing "Pictures of Matchstick Men". -- +-------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pete Fisher at Home: | | Voxan Roadster Gilera Nordwest Yamaha WR250Z | | Gilera GFR * 2 Moto Morini 2C/375 | +-------------------------------------------------------------+

I was there too, if that was the 'last ever, this is it we're giving up...' MK Bowl gig of around 1984(ish). I haven't seen them since though. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
went to see them in Bedford park in the summer with my mum. what I found most bizarre was the folk who took the full picnic table and hamper. needless to say my mum (bring the quo fan) got pissed and disappeared down the front. me being sober (driving) sat on my stool at the back and fretted til she came back twenty mins after the gig had ended. -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/ keeper of the ukrm faq for my sins YZF-R1 : ZX9R E1 : GPz 750 turbo MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11

Went to see Hawkwind on Friday (even sadder eh ?) Turned up, gig cancelled. Manchester Accademy alarm system was not active, and no one would let the Hawkwind roadies fix it :-( It was billed as a Christmas Party..... looks like ti will be an Easter one.
Hawkwind went into a bit of a decline in 1979. This lot should be worth hearing though: https://www.therobintickets.co.uk/ticketshop/giglist.asp?month=5&year=2008#1264
No, they are not, Nik Turner and co are crap, I have seen them. With Hawkwind he fitted, but outside of them he does not. Hawkwind meanwhile didn't dip after '79 (post Hawklords and the the fantastic non album tour that gave us Live '79) they continued well into the 80s when the dipped late eighties. The contued and popped up time and again at rallies and festivals. (Including the Rocak And Blues) They were quite good last year, but don't seem to do anything "new" anymore.
