Aye, and a tenner is probably twice what it's worth. I wouldn't risk
me nuts with that, I'm afraid.

 

I was going to post something similar.
fx: fondles snap-on torque wrench.

 

Might be good to buy a few and flog 'em on eBay.

Snap-on is fine if you can afford their over-inflated prices, £'s for
$'s... They aren't the nly people to give lifetime guarantees...

TÜV-approved means "safe for the user", not necessarily "accurate".
I wouldn't buy cheap tools anymore - the time you spend cursing and
replacing nuts/bolts/studs mangled by just-borderline-tolerance tools
are more expensive than buy proper tools in the first place.

Look for Hazet, Gedore, Stahlwille, Facom.
Just as good and affordable.

I've got a couple of Facom ratchets, they're not as easy to use
one-handed and the internals have gone on both. Trying to track down
new internal kits for both seems to be a bit of a mission... I think
I'll stick with Halfords Professional range, fine for my needs...
