IIRC we'd been out all day on bikes and were utterly knackered. It was
    a great time though.

    [2003 Monza trip]
****, yes! As we entered Switzerland, we all just looked North and the
sky was as black as the inside of a coal-scuttle.

When my lid blew off the top of whatever it was I'd "sensibly" perched
it on, I should have twigged.

10 minutes later and I'm riding a 180hp motorcycle through the heaviest
fucking rain I have ever witnessed in my entire life. I was literally
following the tail-lights of whoever was in front.

When we left the Autobahn/route/whatever to cross over into France, my
plan went badly awry, probably due mainly to my decision /not/ to remove
my iridium visor at the previous fuel stop.

The rain was now pissing dowe the inside of aforesaid visor and I could
see next to **** all. I was following Mark's (I think) tail-lights when
suddenly, they disappeared. Just as my brain was registering this fact
and beginning to wonder where he had gone, the truck he'd just overtaken
    loomed large.

A brief moment of leather-soiling ensued.
Highpoint for me was you falling off your ZZR at 0mph at the hotel we
    ended up at in Barcelonette.
    :)

Anyone know if they do a 'track day' at Mugello? It was cool to do Donington
the day after the GP this year, so it'd be pretty outrageous to do the same
at Mugello if it was possible!
    TIA

Heh, I was chuckling with Mark about that the other night. It was when you
pulled over, took your helmet off and threatened the sky in a Basil Fawlty
style that did it for me. That and finding a second wind in the wet and
speeding up instead of slowing in the wet.
