    Was crap to be in.

Nearly half of the travel time was inside carparks.

Whats the point of a toy run if nobody sees it. The kids still get the
toys, but part of the point is to boost the public image of bike riders.

If they try that one next year, I'll be heading down to join the
    Cranbourne mob.

Bikes by the Bay was good, though.

  3. Even better on-site, great band, nice weather,Ducati display inc. one of
those prostitute MH series 11, even saw a sea-plane,great amount of toys
collected, even followed the last blue police Falcon all the way from
WGB so no stops at lights but was kinda a crawl speed

Though i did see a girl being cart off into a ambo. not sure what the
story was with that (she was ok, leg was kinda r/s)

    Yeah, one or two others
I was right up the front of the group. The police escorts took off and rode
the entire distance at the speed limit... There was no "get ready to leave in
2 minutes announcement either... someone started a bike and 60 seconds later
it was a bit of a scramble to gear up and fire up the beasts because they'd
    taken off with little warning.
Yep... this was a major letdown. Taking "back streets" the entire distance...
no opportunity to slowly parade a large column of bikes through town.
I'd suggest everyone send feedback to the MRA telling them what they didn't
like about it.... I can't remember people ever being disappointed by a toy run
before, but I don't think I've spoken to anyone today who wasn't. I think
    would be the appropriate inbox.
yeah... wonder if they can organise some grass and hundred year old trees for
shade in federation square in time for next year. At least I found an
icecream shop there which served beer :)

    Probably was the plan sadly..

They are probably still fuckin pissed off at handing $$$ back to
people for speeding on the SHeene Run...

    I was there.

The ride was painfully short, but the weather was fantastic, and there were
    some sweet looking bikes.

I wasn't the only L-Plater there, so I didn't feel too much out of place.

another bloody learner on a Spada... a Japanese girl on a black spada in our
group was worried she'd be the only L-plater there.

I went from Royal in UFTG,complete fuckup, compared to last year. Some bright
spark decieded Burwood hwy was a good route.Heaps of lights, not enough
marshalls to control traffic, group got broken up in to small groups, cars in
between, got quite dangerous.Turned round & wnt for ride up hills at springy
    rd.

10 or more years ago the marshals from the Eastern Suburbs Riders who organise
the ride from the Royal hotel in FernTree Gully each year would stop traffic
at every intersection and let the group proceed directly in to the city
without having to **** about at traffic lights... what the police didn't know
didn't hurt them :). Apparently this year this group from Fern Tree Gully and
the Cranbourne group joined into one on the Monash Freeway and they all ended
up in Williamstown. The Eastern Subs organizers should have foreseen that
that was going to happen and avoided the freeway altogether.
