Given the negative publicity and the public apology the President of
Toyota had to make yesterday are we to assume that some time in the
next four weeks his body will be found at some stunningly beautiful
part of the country with some fatal self inflicted wound made with
ornamental cutlery of the martial arts persuasion?

Unless Japanese moral code standards have dropped as low as Toyota's
    R&D dept.

Not bieng funny, at least they admit most of the isssue, I could sit
here & spew out tons of many more serious fuckup by car manufacturers.

Like how easy it is to end up with no brakes at all on a 1994-2002 Range
Rover, but they dont tell you that.

We've owned multiple Toyotas for over ten years. We'll buy them again.

They build fucking good cars, and look after their customers.

The fact that they allow the occasional incompetent Septic to kill
    themselves is a minor bonus.

There appears to be a lot of bandwagon jumping over this one.

I was listening to Talk Sport (Radio's equivalent of the Sun) the other
day - somehow they managed to find several people who had all had a
problem with sticking pedals in their Toyotas.

Given that the actual, real, known to be geniune, reported cases number
around 26 of 1.8m cars sold in the EU, it seems a little odd that around
25% of them both listen to, and phone in to Talk Sport all on the same
    day.

It did amuse me when I was out and about to see that virtually every
car where the "2 second rule" was being adhered to, whether by the
driver or the car following, was a Toyota...
