    I am looking at do my first track day soon and live in South Yorkshire. The
    closest tracks to me are Cadwell and Croft and I would like an opinion on
    which might be the most suitable for a rider that has only 1 years
    experience.

    I've only ever done Croft, and only once at that, but I think it's
    pretty novice-friendly: there aren't any real surprises anywhere, there
    seems to be plenty of run-off in the inlikely event that you need it,
    and the track's short enough that you learn your way around it very quickly.

    Don't know what else would distinguish one track from another in the
    novice-suitability stakes, really.
    a) You're missing a sig-sep;
    b) What the hell's a GXSX600K2?

    Seconded. I first did Croft on a Teapot a couple of years after
    passing my test. Huge fun and plenty of run-offs - not that you'll be
    needing them, seeing as how you're going to take it nice and steady!

    Rob,

    Wot the others said..........Croft's certainly more novice friendly, been
    once. Done Cadwell 3 times and I find it a demanding and technical circuit,
    but, I have to say, Cadwell is my fave, it's ace for a good workout
    especially for an unfit fecker like moi.......HTH.
