I've used "productionise" in the past, but that means "prepare it for
release into a production environment, and then release it into that
    environment in a controlled manner".

Most of the "releases into production" that I've seen should have been
    called "escapes" rather than "releases".
If you are (very) lucky you get to play rollback instead of ohshitpanic.

    that's awful.
    heh.

I prefer the term "let loose", preferably spoken in an arch-baddy
    "Clash of the Titans" voice

    "Let Loose the Software!!" muahahaha!

I hear that word at least 3 times a week.

My most hated phrase ever comes from non techies though, and that
remains HR's "Resource action" to mean redundancies.

heh. I have massively toned down my swearing in business meetings over
    the past few years.

The French really don't see the funny side.

Sure - I've used it in a similar manner, meaning 'take this piece of
code, which is basically there functionally, but not really robust,
and make it solid and secure too".

well, we use "industrialise" for that.

IT aren't the only culprits. As a business, we create and market
financial instruments, and invest money on behalf of our parent
company and other institutional and private equity clients. So, we do
    money stuff and that's it.

Doesn't stop us having a "product engineering" department.

I found "Right-timing" used in our project Vision Statement recently.

Having a "Vision Statement" for a project is bad enough for starters.

well, in The City, the "big swinging dicks" swear a fuckload, and over
the past few years I've worked with people who's level of profanity
makes even me flinch a little. But more recently, as I've percolated
upwards in the org, I am dealing with far fewer standard London City
Cunts, and far more self-styled sophisticated Frenchmen, and the whole
"swearing like a barrow-boy" schtick just doesn't cut it.

So I've made a conscious effort to "play nice".

Except when something pushes me over the edge. But then, the fact that
my normal demeanor does not include swearing, people really do get the
message straight away that they've fucked up.

we've just recently introduced the "requirement" for a one-page
"Evangelising Project Charter" for 2009 projects, before we're even
allowed to ask for money for them.

<fx: been in management too long already>

But...a "vision statement" is nothing like a "mission statement"
