trip...

Im thinking of maybe not doing california but going down thru france,
italy, greece, turkey, syria, lebanon and jordan and back. Anyone got
experience of this, Dec/Jan time?

Naples/Sorrento was quite pleasant in January. In 7 days I had 4 warm sunny
days, 2 rainy days and one where it snowed. Vesuvius looked lovely with a
snowy dome but it only lasted half a day as the sun came out and I went
back to a t shirt.

Anywhere further north than Nice/Florence will be a bit parky.

recent events, but Jordan is one of the few Arabic nations that
recognises Israel.

I'd have thought a trip around Egypt and Jordan would be the best of the
Arab bunch and a visit to Petra on the list.

Ive toured Egyopt and lived in Jordan for a year, youre not wrong...
And Petra would certainly be worth another visit. Ive been there 3
times, never ceases to take your breath away...
