what's been on the news every 30 minutes today.

 

Yeah, I was driving away from my hotel less than half an hour after
that post when I heard it confirmed on the radio. One guy was claiming
there's been a 10% rise in exports but I haven't bothered to check if
that's bullshit or not.

 

Given the amount of tears when we went into recession I'd say that at
least we're getting somewhere.

 

Ok, why don't you sell your house and **** off to wherever it is that
you think things are so much better? You've obviously got a major
downer on this country and people with that sort of attitude are doing
nothing to help improve things so just **** off somewhere else.

upbeat and had been for some considerable time?

Maybe JackH worked in manufacturing industry or somesuch where it does all
look rather gloomy. I suppose if you are a youngish unskilled or semi
skilled bloke the outlook is pretty grim.
