Triumph Rocket III - International Price variations

hi there

I just placed a deposit on a £12K Rocket III, only to find they
are just under £9K in the States and apparently cheaper throughout
Europe. This is outrageous when you consider it's a British built
bike and should actually cost more abroad with shipping charges.

Is this just the usual case of Rip off Britain? Does anyone have
any idea what the prices are in other European countries or why
the bike should be so much more in its country of manufacture?

UK bikes have a special surcharge to cover the cost of entertaining all the
