Triumph Sprint Sport 1998 jumps out of fifth gear

    Anyone have any ideas why my 1998 sprint sport occassionally jumps out
    of 5th into neutral, especially when accelerating hard?

    Gear lever is not loose, but it does require a bit more pressure to go
    from 4th to 5th, sometimes you can feel a double click before it goes
    in. Single clicks happen between all the other gears.

    Positively brilliant, but I think the OP was referring to
    a Triumph MOTORCYCLE.
