If anyone here has experience of the latest model, good or bad, I'd be
    pleased to read comments.
I have itchy plastic, and I feel drawn to a black one, is this normal?

Universally loved on the Triumph forums. No known vices and I'd have one
    if I could afford one.

Getting a blue one on Saturday. I *wanted* black bu couldn't afford one
(as they only came out in January) and actually don't look all that in
    the flesh IMHO.

Bearing in mind I went from a Speed Triple to a Bandit 600 to test the
    Sprint:

    Fast
    Superb brakes
    lovely engine
Comfortable for me (6'4" 13.5 st)
    Good mirrors
Pretty pointless digital dash with analogue speedo and tacho. Temp gauge
    reads right to left.

I'll be doing 600 miles a week, so I'll have a better idea in a couple
    of weeks.

That's the trouble, with a few accessories I'm looking at the thick end
of ten grand. Mind you, this will be the only new bike I've ever bought,
and it's going to get some serious touring....
(continues justifying wild extravagance to self....)
Bollocks, even the insurance isn't an excuse for backing out...

My (well Anne's actually) only complaint is the pillion seat. It's too
high and she'd get wind turbulence.

Have you tried? It's often somewhat counter-intuitive, as the
upper-level airflow is a very complex thing. You could try growing to
    a normal height, of course...

I guess another try may be a possible solution. I am a normal height,
    you're the freak :)

The Cheltenham Triumph dealer has a new ST in stock with £1k off and
free panniers. At least that's what it said on the sticker on the front.

Performance Triumph; the lot that have/had the Suzuki place in town
(that I believe has now moved out of town)

The Triumph place is the shop on the A40 as you come into town from the
Gloucester side - it was Dick Lovett Jeep, then it became a specialist
car shop, then it became a specialist car shop, then it became a
specialist car shop, then it became the Triumph shop, and they've got a
few Harleys there and a few fancy cars on the forecourt too.

Nah, black looked gorgoeous when I saw a couple parked outside the
Triumph dealer up the road. One had panniers fitted and the other
    didn't, but both looked stunning.

In that you are correct, but it's not the best colour for that bike.

I'm still in the phase of 'be sensible now, you really don't need one of
these', and blue or red is marginally safer, isn't it? Of course it is.

I know the dark side will win eventually.
