    heh - yeah - I think I'd started it up inside the under-hotel carpark

    That's the one. I got a couple of people with the Drifter, too, because it
    waited about 10 seconds after I stopped the engine before backfiring.

    That's what I mean. It can be turned into a really nice bike, but out
    of the crate it's crap.

    I loved mine when I had it.

    Sounded nice, handled and stopped in an 'ok' kind of a way. Looked nice.

    However - having had a Trixie, then tried your 750SS, I've ended up
    owning a 750SS. Not quite as rapid, but a much nicer bike to ride - and,
    as you say, much more comfortable.

    Prices are pretty much on a parity, too - so I can't really see why
    anyone would buy a TRX.
