    Pretty bloody disappointing really.

The only breakdown was a dud fuel o-ring. Even then.. I got home. (I
believe the O-ring was of Germanic origin).

Is it too late to return to Triumph and ask for the rumoured/mythical bag of
    faults to be retrofitted?

And am getting bored with only filling up with oil once only and not having
to top up at all between services.

  5. Silly, the leaks are an optional extra [*]. Didn't they tell you when you
    bought it?

[*] Unlike a power band for a GN250, which apparently were never made...

That's why you fix it yourself. After hearing that Triumph will only replace
the plastic male fittings, with aluminium fittings at that, I bought a full
set (male & female) of chrome plated brass fittings from the t595.net
website. Turns out the plastic female return fitting had large sections
missing going back past the seal, though the male fittings were perfect...

That's the problem with forums... generally one only posts when there is a
    fault/problem/issue.

"seems pretty common" is of dubious statistical value.

If my T595 was anything to go by, the only thing which *didn't* happen was
an oil leak ..... the number of things that bike should have been recalled
    for .....

Sounds a bit like the Sprint ST I had... (although to be fair I knew
several people with very reliable ones).
